Youth Seminar on "SVİÖ" Effective+Valuable+Satisfactory EVS
The overall aim of this Seminar is to promote the development of quality EVS projects in order to support the needs of the organisation and its international partners in "SVİÖ" Effective+Valuable+Satisfactory EVS for international project partners, youth workers, project managers and young people for the support of Intercultural Youth Work Activities in the frame of the programme "YOUTH in ACTION (YIA)". The specific objectives of the Seminar are:
· to explore the aims of EVS;
· to find out how EVS activities match the needs and resources of the participating organisations;
· to experience a quality EVS project,
· to develop skills useful for running an EVS project;
· to become inspired to do EVS projects.
· To promote European Voluntary Service and therefore, the seminar will focus on sharing the experiences of sending and hosting organisations how to use the EVS programme and for which challenges they have to be prepared cooperating in a common volunteer project with participation of 10 countries such as Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, RUSSIA, Italy, Romania, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic from EECA and programme countries, The project "on "SVİÖ" Effective+Valuable+Satisfactory EVS" will be a six day lasting seminar with 35 participants in Istanbul, Turkey. providing an opportunity for organisations to find future EVS sending hosting partners. EVS is based on multi-lingualism and European citizenship projects.
· to meet the partners personally, and to get to know each other better in order to: share ideas; share different experiences of how youth work pans out country by country; learn about the methods used to motivate youngsters for active participation.
The Youth Seminar on "SVİÖ" Effective+Valuable+Satisfactory EVS focuses on tools, methods and best practice in ensuring quality standards for European Voluntary Service activities in cooperation with Eastern Europe and Caucasus and the development of the cooperation between program countries and neighboring partner countries from EECA within YOUTH in ACTION (YIA). Members of You Yhere Youth Here YIA Youth Caravan (www.youthere.eu) (www.genclikkaravani.eu) will also be with us and contribute EVS Seminar.
